George MinterLoading... George Minter, born 1803, Sittingbourne, Kent George was a well-known uphosterer and furniture maker in Frith Street, Soho, London. This example of his work, a mahogany framed and button upholstered hide patent 'self-acting' library wing armchair, was sold at auction in 2007 by Lyon & Turnbull and fetched £3,000.
