    James Earley writes, June 2009:
    "...my Great Grandfather. He was with the Royal Army Medical Corps during the First World War and was stationed in Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq, Syria and Turkey). He was a qualified chemist. After the war he moved to Hersham, Surrey and set up his own shop in Queens Road."

    E F Minter, Chemist was listed in the 1922/3 Directory (?Kelly's) at 23 Queen's Road, Hersham, NW Surrey and in the 1935 Directory at 17 Queen's Road, Hersham, NW Surrey (information supplied by James Earley, June 2009)

    An Ed. F Minter, chemist, appeared in the 1929, 1930 and 1931 telephone diectories at 17 Queens Road, Hersham, telephone Walton 412.

    The wife and family associated here with Edward is an assumption based on his being in Surrey in 1929.
