J. C. K. Lethbridge.
The death occurred at Mitchell on August 29, after several months' illness, of Mr. John Cop- land King Lethbridge at the age of 65 years. The late Mr. Lethbridge was born at Scarne (Victoria) on July l8, 1867. He was a son of the late Mr. Robert Copland Lethbridge and the late Mrs. Lethbridge, of Forest Vale station, Mitchell. He came with his parents to Forest Vale station in 1872, and was educated at the Toowoomba Grammar School. After being engaged in the banking profession for six years at Mitchell, Adavale, Charleville, and Mackay, in 1890 he took the position of jackeroo at Oak Park station (the property of his brother in-law, the late Mr. J. R. Nimmo). In 1898 he was appointed to the position of manager of Tryconnell Downs and Ularunda stations, near Morven, by the Bank of New South Wales, and sub- sequently was appointed administrator of Nive Junction, on the Warrego, and Woodlands station, Mitchell. , In 1901 he purchased Warren Point, Mitchell, where he had been engaged in sheep raising and citrus growing up to the time of his death. In 1902 he married Miss Florence M'Lean, the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. D. M'Lean, of Bindango station, Roma. The late Mr. Lethbridge was a member of the Booringa Shire Council and Leichhardt Rabbit Board. He is survived by a son, Robert Copland King Lethbridge, and a daughter (Mollie Lethbridge), and one grandchild. The funeral, which took place from All Saints' Church of Eng- land, Mitchell, to the Mitchell Cemetery, on Monday afternoon, was largely attended. The Rev. Canon Eva (Roma) officiated.
