| Notes |
- According to Mrs Christensen in 1953, Henry was called Lavender after his uncle Lavender Minter but no such person has been found by Cliff Minter. On the other hand, Henry Lavender Culmer's uncle George Minter (1803) had a son he called Henry Lavender Minter. So perhaps it was the other way round. But that doesn't explain where 'Lavender' came from.
In 1841 Henry, age stated as 21, a clerk, appears to have been living at 17 Old Bond Street, Mayfair, London. (It's possible however that this census entry relates to a different Henry L Culmer).
1851 census: not found.
