Notes |
- Per findagrave.com, son of Alexander Grant McPheeters and Martha Ellen Walker.
For 1920 & 1930 US Federal Census, see father-in-law Robert Charles MINTER's Notes. They show that by 1930, Louis had divorced Hazel Minter*. By 1940 he had re-married:
1940 US Federal Census: in Red Cloud, Webster, Nebraska (both McPHEETERS), Fred (head, 47, born Nebraska, inspector, port of entry) and Louise (wife, 32, born Nebraska, operator, telephone company).
* The census definitely shows 'D', for divorce, but findagrave.com has a record which shows Hazel E Minter McPheeters dying in 1924 in Red Cloud, and being buried in the Red Cloud Cemetery. Since I can find nothing to suggest otherwise, I'm assuming that the findagrave.com record is correct.
