John was and long-time farmer and worked for Alcoa for many years. John was a member of the St. Paul Community Church in Linden and was in charge of the horse barn at the Tippecanoe County 4H Fair for several years. He enjoyed ballroom dancing and was a member of the Eagles and the Masons.He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ernestine Kendall; son, Jack Lee (Omey) Kendall of Crawfordsville; daughters, Pat Reed of Ormond Beach, FL and Jane Ellen Turpin of Waveland; step-children, David Lee (Barbara) Hoover of Denver, Colorado, Eleanor Marie (Ed) Arenas of Denver, Colorado and Paul Loring Hoover of Denver, Colorado; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren step-grandchildren.
