The following story appeared in the Rockhampton, Queensland Morning Bulletin on 17 December 1951 (source Trove): of Wallet Halts Honeymoon MURWILLUMBAH, December 16.-A pair of Brisbane newlyweds had to cut their honeymoon short and return home today because the bridegroom lost his wallet. They were Mr and Mrs Ronald James Minter, of Weller Road, Taragindi. They were married on Saturday and had travelled as far as Smith's Creek, about eight miles south of Murwillumbah, when Mr Minter missed his wallet. He told the police he had stopped their car once to have a drink of water and another time to take a snap of a foal. When they found the wallet gone they retraced their journey and searched, but could not find it. They returned to Brisbane this afternoon. The police are appealing for the finder to hand in the wallet." A piece in the Brisbane Courier-Mail on 20 December 1951 reported that the wallet was found by Mr Charles Roberts, a school teacher and returned to its owner.
