Funeral services were held Friday, December 16, at Spruger Baptist Church in Spurger with burial at Turner Branch Cemetery under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. A native of Orange and a former longtime resident of Spruger, she lived in Silsbee ten years. Survivors include, Juanita Smith and Dimp Levine, both of Spurger, Susie Sample of DeRidder, LA, Virlie Smith of Buna, Geraldine Norvell of Conroe and Madeline Minter of Angleton; sons, A. T. Winkel of Orange, Walter Winkel of Spruger, J. H. Winkel of Tennessee Colony and Joe Winkel of Silsbee; brothers, Vertis Willey of Buna; 33 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
