Below George in the list is Emma Mallett, servant (housekeeper), 30, born Woodbridge. George's wife Harriet,45, was counted in her capacity as a nurse at Sickford (spelling?) Almshouses, Woodbridge. The birth registrations for Arthur and William G haven't been found. 1911 census (1): in Theatre Street, Woodbridge, Suffolk (4 rooms), George (head, 51, married, wheelwright, own a/c, at home, born Woodbridge, Suffolk), Emma MALLETT (41, single, general servant domestic, born Woodbridge, Suffolk) and Maud * (niece, 2, birthplace not stated). Form signed George Minter. 1911 census (2): George's wife Harriet (54, married 33 years, 4 children, 3 living 1 died, sick nurse at Seckford Hospital, born Hintlesham, Suffolk) was, as in 1901, living alone as head of household at 15 Alms Houses, Seckford Street, Woodbridge (2 rooms). Form signed Harriet Minter. * Maud is presumed to be Daisy Maud C Minter, whose birth was registered at Woodbridge in Q3 1908 (4a/1081) but the birth certificate hasn't been obtained so her parents aren't known. It seems unlikely in view of the ages of George's siblings that Maud was George's niece. Daisy M Minter, who married Albert E G BANTHORP in Q4 1930 was almost certainly Daisy Maud - her death as Daisy Maud BANTHORP was registered on October 1989 at Ipswich, with a birth date of 25 July 1908. Albert Edward G BANTHORP's death was registered in Q3 1970 at Ipswich, with a birth date of 14 March 1904. 1911 census (3): George's son Arthur appears as Arthur William MINTER, Acting Bombadier, aged 29, born Woodbridge, in No. 15 Company, Royal Garrison Artillery, stationed at the Military Barracks, Tower Hill, Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa. 1939 Register (1): at 6 Theatre Street, Woodbridge U.D., Suffolk Minter, George A born 4 Apr 1859, married, newsagent MALLETT, Emma E ,born 3 Jan 1869, single, general shop-keeper 1939 Register (2): at Seckford Hospital, Woodbridge U.D., Suffolk (inmate) Minter, Harriet M born 15 Jul 1854, married, retired nurse
