FRIGHTFUL ACCIDENT ON SPENCER ROAD.
Spencer Road on Sunday afternoon was the scene of one of the most frightful auto accidents occurring in the county in months. A Dodge truck containing two men and driven by Fletcher Boaz of Horsepasture, while en route from Mayo to Horsepasture, left the road about two miles North of Spencer in front of the Bill Grogan farm, and precipitated its load of human freight on the ground, instantly killing two of its passengers. The unfortunate men of the group were G. F. Boaz whose schull was crushed beneath the wheels of the truck causing instant death, and Charles Hylton of near Mayo, who was thrown against a fence post who likewise suffered instant death.
Mr. Boaz was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Boaz of the neighborhood, and leaves to mourn his passing his wife, formerly Ella Clift of Martinsville, and one child.
Hylton, whose age was about fifty, was single and for years had lived with his two sisters near Mayo.
