  Notes	Copied from findagrave.com: DANVILLE REGISTER, Danville, Va., Thur., July 1, 1909, p. 3, col. 3 [edited]. Mrs. J. H. Clift of Martinsville, died at the Southwestern State Hospital, at Marion, Va. early Monday morning. Her remains were brought here for interment and were buried in Oakwood Cemetery yesterday. She had been ill for several months and death was not unexpected. She was about 39 years old and is survived by her husband and four small children. She was before marriage a Miss Carter, of this county and leaves seven brothers and two sisters. Six brothers acted as pall-bearers at the funeral.
