GALVESTON - Patsy Ann Minter Tyler, only 60 years old, passed away March 20, 2003, at Clear Lake Regional Medical lenter after a long battle with complications from diabetes. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2003, at Carnes Brother-? Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 23, 2003, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
Patsy was born in Galveston to Lonnie and Blanche Minter on July 24, 1942. They both beat her to Heaven. She was educated in Galveston and graduated from Ball High School with the class of 1960. Her career started at Stewart Title Company, next was with Lyda Ann Thomas at her construction company, then was secretary to the head master of William B. Travis Academy and finally she was an employee at UTMB where she worked in psychiatry, for the Dean of Medicine, Hospital Administration and for TDCJ Managed Care, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed most spending time with family and friends. She also liked watching her soaps, shopping, playing cards and games, riding around Galveston, especially the seawall, and listening to the Osteen Family and their music at Lakewood Church in Houston. She was a member of the University Baptist Church of Galveston, Texas.
Patsy is survived by the following list of those that are Jeft behind, still trying to earn their Angel's Wings: her husband of 39 years, John W. Tyler; daughter, Pamela Tyler and children, Madison and Ajay Tyler; sister, Bobbie Jean Minter and Billie Rose; brother, Sonny Minter and wife, Barbara; nephew, Michael Minter and wife Christy; niece, Michelle Minter and daughter, Dezirae; friends, George and Elaine Giries, Jimmy, Lisa and Alexandra Fox, Jody During, Betty-Lu Fitzsimmons, Liz, Carol and Terri Carlson, Barbara Perez, Pat Patterson, Pierre and Alice Pineda, Nancy Valdez, Vivian Bettencourt, Chuck Thompson, Maria Hernandez, Gayle Vanskyke and family, Ruben and Alice Garza and family and Lyda Ann Thomas, etal.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in Patsy's name to the Alzheimer Foundation, Hospice, University Baptist Church, Lakewood Church, the Diabetes Association
or your favorite charity.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
