  Notes	From the Martinsville Bulletin 17 Mar 2019: Jerry Elizabeth Shields Minter, 72, of Floyd, Va., passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019. She was born May 31, 1946 in Eden, N.C. to the late German Loyd Shields and Ella Boyd Shields. Mrs. Minter was of the Presbyterian faith and worked as a secretary for the Martinsville City School System. She is survived by her husband, Billy Randolph Minter of the home; son, Lloyd Lester Minter of Floyd, Va.; step-son, Jay Randolph Minter of Mebane, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Jackie and Hettie Minter of Martinsville, Va.; grandchildren, Jessica Ann Minter and Randolph Allen Minter, both of Floyd, Va.; and step-grandchildren, Justin Randolph Minter and Austin Minter, both of Greensboro, N.C. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Minister David Deisher officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
