  Notes	1851 census: William STONE (unm, 22, chair maker born Chalfont St Giles) was living in Victoria Terrace with James WORLEY (36, ag lab), his wife Hannah (37) and their lodger James WORLEY (unm, 21, chair maker). 1861 census: at 36 Threehouseholds, Chalfont St Giles (property shared with father), (all STONE, all born Chalfont St Giles), William Jnr (head, 32, chair maker), Mary (wife, 30), Louisa (daughter, 9, scholar), Elizabeth (daughter, 8, scholar), Emma (daughter, 6, scholar) and Clara J (daughter, 2, scholar). NB - I can't find William's marriage, unless it was in Q3 1846, to Mary MOOR, but that wouldn't square with William's appearance as unmarried in the 1851 census, unless he was hiding an early marriage. 1871 census: at 29 Threehouseholds, Chalfont St Giles (property shared with father), (all STONE, all born Chalfont St Giles), William Jnr (head, 42, cattle dealer), Mary (wife, 39), Louisa (daughter, 19), Emma (daughter, 16), Clara J (daughter, 12, scholar), Arabella (daughter, 8, scholar), George (son, 6, scholar) and John (son, 1). Also granddaughter Laurie STONE (3 months). 1881 census: in Threehouseholds, Chalfont St Giles, (all STONE, all born Chalfont St Giles), William (head, 52, farmer, 70 acres), Mary (wife, 49), Clara (daughter, 22), Arabella (daughter, 18), George (son, 16) and [William - see 1891] John (son, 11, scholar). 1891 census: in Bowles' Court, Chalfont St Giles, (all STONE, all born Chalfont St Giles), William (head, 62), Mary (wife, 59), Clara (daughter, 31), William J (son, single, 21, draper's assistant) and Laurie TRIPP (granddaughter, single, 20, born Chalfont St Giles).
