Tinch Minter in November 2007: Anne Maud (born January 3rd 1871 at one o'clock a.m. Doric place Woodbridge, according to the family Bible) was my great aunt - (Richard Evan Minter's younger sister) and my benefactor. She went I believe to the Royal College of Arts ie, behind the V&A - certainly she practised as an artist throughout her long life. When her father died (again according to the family Bible) on July 3rd 1871 in the 42nd year of his age I have been led to believe his widow took herself to bed - I've just realised Maud was a tiny tot. I've always heard that grandfather Minter [Richard Evan Minter] had to work to support his family from an early age. Also my sister Charis (Hunter Blair) has recently unearthed information about RE Minter being a scholar at Woodbridge School. ... certainly family lore believes that Maud and Ellen were largely responsible for their Mother.
I also know that Maud should have married a man who in fact eloped with x. Some years ago I went to Woodbridge on a family trawl and - chance of a lifetime - my b&b hostess had been taught by her, when she was in her 80s.
