  Notes	Henry's whereabouts in 1871 haven't been established. An end-to-end search of the 1871 census records for Messingham and Scotter has established that he wasn't living in either of these two villages. It seems probable that a few years after Henry married he emigrated to the USA and was joined by his family a bit later. The only slight doubts I have about this are that: 1. on the 1900 US census which almost certainly refers to this Henry Hunsley, the name is shown as Henry E Hunsley and the birth date as August 1854. 2. on the gravestone which almost certainly is of this Henry Hunsley, the name is again shown as Henry E Hunsley. However, the birth date is shown as 30 August 1853, which ties up with the registration in Q3 1853. Assuming they all belong to this Henry Hunsley, brief details of his history are as follows: - married Sarah Jane EVERATT in Q2 1875 - emigrated to the USA on the 'City of New York' which left Liverpool and arrived in New York on 7 December 1880. On the same ship were Henry's brother-in-law George MILLER and nephew George MILLER. - at the time of the 1881 census, his wife and three children were living with Sarah's parents (see Sarah's Notes for full details). - it's not known when Sarah Jane and the three children arrived in the USA but the whole family was living in Boone, Hancock County, Iowa at the time of the 1900 US Federal Census. By then, Henry and Sarah had several more children (see full details below). - Henry died in 1903 and Sarah in 1923. Sarah appears to have visited England at least once after Henry died. 1900 US Federal Census: in Boone, Hancock County, Iowa, on 20 June 1900 (all HUNSLEY), Henry E (head, born Aug 1854, age 46, married 25 years, born England, arrived in USA 1880, farmer), Sarah J (wife, born Sep 1858, age 41, married 25 years, 9 children, 7 living, born England, arrived in USA 1881), Rachel (daughter, born Jan 1878, age 22, single, born England, arrived in USA 1881), Earnest (son, born Nov 1879, age 20, single, born England, arrived in USA 1881), Ray E (son, born Oct 1882, age 17, born Illinois), Carrie A (daughter, born Sep 1886, age 13, born Illinois, at school), Alta M (daughter, born Mar 1889, age 11, born Illinois, at school) and Effie M (daughter, born Apr 1893, age 7, born Illinois).
