  Notes	In 1891 Frederick, 18, birth place given as Boxford, Essex, was living in the Lissom Grove area of St Marylebone, employed as a draper's packer. When son Kenneth Charles was baptised on 31 Aug 1898, Frederick and Alice's address was given as 44 Khyber Road and Frederick's occupation, packer. When son Sydney Louis (sic) was baptised on 3 Jan 1900, Frederick and Alice's address was given as 30 Bridge St West and Frederick's occupation, day watchman. 1901 census: at 30 Bridge Road West, Battersea, London, Frederick (27, watchman), Alice (24), Gertrude (4) and Sidney (1). Living at the same address were Sarah A BARNES (widow, 65, born Brandon, Norfolk) and her sons and daughter Edward (22), Margaret (30), Kate (28), Amy (20) and Jessie (18), all of whom were born in Battersea. Sarah BARNES was probably Alice's mother. Frederick's son Arthur Howard's birth certificate shows Frederick's occupation as ledgers clerk. 1911 census: at 108 Romany Road, West Norwood, London (5 rooms), Frederick (head, 37, married, receiving clerk, drapery, worker, born Boxted, Essex), Alice (wife, 33, married 14 years, 7 children, 5 living 2 died, born Battersea, Surrey), Gertrude (daughter, 14, born Battersea, Surrey), Sydney (son, 11, school, born Battersea, Surrey), Stanley (son, 6, born Battersea, Surrey), Edward (son, 3, born Battersea, Surrey) and Howard (son, 1, born Norwood, Surrey). Also a boarder, Thomas PRICE (22, single, milk carrier, dairy, worker, born Hampstead, Middlesex). Form signed Frederick Minter. When he was buried, aged 41, in 1914 Frederick had been living at 19 Greyhound Terrace, Streatham, London. 1921 census: at 8, Bournes Place, Battersea, London (all MINTER), Alice (head, 43y 5m, widow, born Battersea, London, home duties), Gertrude Lilian (daughter, 24y 6m, single, born Clapham, London, kitchen hand, out of work, prviously with Mr Morley, 6 Cremorne Rd, West Brompton W10), Stanley Charles (son, 16y 5m, born Battersea, London, washhouseman, domestic laundtry, Surrey Lane, Battersea), Edward John son (son, 13y 9m, born Battersea, London, whole time school), Arthur Howard (son, 11y 5m, born Norwood, Surrey, whole time school) and Frederick Percival (son, 8y 2m, born Mitcham, Surrey, whole time school).
