  Notes	findagrave.com, Dec 2015: Mona Minter was the first of eight children born to a pioneer Walker County family. After graduating from Huntsville high School in 1950, she attended Sam Houston University. She moved to Houston where she married Bob Minter, worked and raised her two children. She retired from Exxon after 35 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Minter, her son, Bobby Minter, her parents, Dolly and Gladys Hightower, two sisters, Dolly Ann Wells and Mary Ellen Chron. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Anderson and her husband, Charlie, two grandsons, three brothers, Buck, Clarence and Gerald Hightower, two sisters, Peggy Kroesche and Betty Schatz, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held Thursday, December 3, 2009, in the Pat H. Foley chapel. Graveside services followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.
