Upon graduation from high school in Dallas, he went to work at Braniff Airways in Dallas. A long career until age 77 began working in aircraft maintenance as an aircraft cleaner leading into executive management. He was a founding officer of Muse Airlines, Dallas; V.P. at Associated Air Center, Dallas; and President of Aerocorp, Lake City, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shirley Stewart (Batson) Minter of Georgetown; brother, Bill Minter and wife Ellie of Frisco, TX; in San Antonio, daughter Sandra Ferguson; In Dallas, daughter Rene Minter and husband Keith Sanger; son Chris Minter; In Dallas, son Edward Batson and wife; in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania son Max Batson, Jr. and wife. There are six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. (Nov. 17) at First United Methodist Church, 410 East University, Georgetown, Texas 78626, 512-863-2370.
