  Notes	Living in Whitefriars Street, London in 1851 with his father. Had care and management of father's business at 41 Whitefriars Street, London in 1853 with provision to purchase on his father's decease, with proceeds of purchase to be divided between the other 6 children (or if deceased their issue). Bequeathed a clock and table in father's Will dated 5 December 1853. Henry William appeared in a number of London Directories: 1856, 1857, 1858, 1859 Post Office Directory: Henry Wm Minter, oil & colorman, 41 Whitefriars Street, Fleet Street. 1861, 1870, 1880, 1884 (Kelly's) Post Office Directory: Henry William Minter, oil & colorman, 41 Whitefriars Street, Fleet Street. October 2009: Discovered at London Metropolitan Archives at Ancestry.co.uk that Henry married for the first time in 1855. His first wife died the following year. 1861 census: at 41 Whitefriars Street, St Bride, London, Henry W (36, oil & colorman), Jane (27), Henry B (1), Mary E HOWELL (niece, 19, born St Luke, London) and Mary B ELGAR (visitor, 11, born Ramsgate). Mary E HOWELL HOWELL would have been Henry William's sister Mary Ann's daughter. Mary ELGAR was probably the daughter of Henry's son Henry Bartlett Minter, who married an ELGAR in 1885. 1871 census: at 41 Whitefriars Street, St Bride, London, Henry W (46, widower, oilman & general shopkeeper employing one man & one boy) and son William A (9). 1881 census (indexed as MICATEN by ancestry.com): at 41 Whitefriars Street, St Bride, London, Henry W (56, widower, oilman employing one man) and son William A (19, helps in the business). 1891 census: at 5 Leppoe Road, Clapham, London, Henry W (66, retired oilman) and niece Louise E E DENNIS (22, unmarried). Son William (qv) next door at number 7. Henry William appears in the Post Office Directory for 1898, at 5 Leppoe Road, Clapham, London. 1901 census: at 5 Leppoe Road, Clapham, London, Henry W (76, living on own means) and niece Louise E DENNIS (32, unmarried). Son William (qv) next door at number 7. Henry William appears in the Post Office Directory for 1908, still living at 5 Leppoe Road, Clapham, London.
