  Notes	An Alice, 23, departed in 1905 from Liverpool to New York, USA. Ancestry.com's New York Passenger Listes 1820 - 1957 show that Alice, 23, a servant, arrived at New York on 21 December 1905 on the 'Oceanic' with 20 dollars. She said she was going to a friend, Mrs S Lyons of 32 Bay 22nd Street, Bath Beach, New York. An Alice Mary, 25, departed in 1908 from Liverpool to Quebec, Canada. The Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935 have Alice M MInter arriving at Montreal on 10 May 1908 on the 'Kensington' (per Christine Small, March 2009). March 2009: Christine Small has established that Alice married William Frank WELLS. There is no sign of an English marriage registration so presumably the marriage took place in Canada, some time between 1908 (when Alice went to Quebec - see above) and 1911, when she appeared with William Frank and a 2 year-old daughter in the 1911 Canadian census. Later: the marriage has now been found. Christine has discovered more about William Frank Wells through correspondence with his grandson Edward Wells.
