From findagrave.com, August 2015: Edward Blane "Buddy" Minter 73,of Redwater, Texas died Wednesday September 29,1999 in a local hospital. Mr. Minter was born September 18,1926 in Avery, Texas. He was retired from Red Ball Motor Freight, a Baptist, charter member of Maud Veterans of Foreign Wars and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceaded in death by his first wife, Ethel Minter, on June 2,1976 and one stepson, David Allen, on March 1,1993. Survivors include his wife, Kate Minter of Redwater; one stepdaughter, Mary Moody of Simms, Texas; two stepsons, Travis Allen of Wake Village, Texas; and James Allen of Levelland, Texas; one brother, Harold Lee Minter of Avery; one sister, Virginia Buchanan of Fort Worth, Texas; a special friend, Harold Spencer of Maud, Texas; one godson, Roy Lyle of Maud; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Texarkana Funeral Home Fuqua-Everett Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Hugh Gibbs and James Brinkley officiatng. Burial will be in Redwater Cemetery.
