Robert joined the RASC on 1 July 1915, aged 42, a labourer of 125 Crondall St, Hoxton, NE London. His next of kin was Elizabeth Minter, wife, 43 President Street, London EC (a later address). Four children listed: Raphael Robert, 21 Feb 1903, Hackney; Henry George, 31 Dec 1904, Finsbury; Morris Jesse, 9 May 1906, Finsbury; Sarah Rhoda, 2 Oct 1910, Shoreditch.
Private, no. 297379. Joined the BEF in France in July 1915, leaving Southampton on the 'Lydia' and arriving at Le Havre on 20 July 1915. Spent some years in France and avoided any injury or other disability.
Transferred to the Z Reserves on 9 March 1919.

Additional information: of 2E Peabody Buildings, Roscoe Street (Near Old Street). Husband of Elizabeth Minter. Injured at 2E Peabody Buildings, died same day at St Bartholomew's Hospital.)
