Valena was a resident of Eden, North Carolina at the time of her passing. She graduated from Schoolfield High School and later was a graduate of Danville Technical Institute. She was preceded in death by her husband J. Clyde. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 7 - 9 Pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Denita McDaniel, 125 Wills Street , Danville, VA. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday at Immanuel Friends Church in Eden with burial to follow at Dan View Cemetery.
