      1911 census: at 16 Anhalt Road, Battersea, London (3 rooms), Percy Archibald (head, 28, married, butler, born Colchester, Essex), Fanny (wife, 31, married 2 years, 1 child, living, born Sligo, Ireland) and Hester Ivy (daughter, 1, born Battersea, London).

      Percy's service record (at Ancestry.com) shows that he joined the RGA in November 1915, aged 31 years 4 months, a butler. He gave his next of kin as his wife Francis (sic) Minter of Swordale, Evanton, Ross-shire, whom he married in London on 11 April 1909. Two children are listed, Joy Hester born 17 March 1910 at 3 Park Road, London, and Sarah Violet born 16 January 1917 at Kiltearn (there is a second date 12 February 1917 given but its meaning isn't clear).
      Percy wasn't mobilized until 30 May 1916. His service number was 91670. He was demobed at Lough Swilly in Ireland.

      1921 census: in Great Barrington, Burford, Oxfordshire (all MINTER), Percy A (head, 37, married, born Colchester, Essex, butler with Col. M Wingfield, Barrington Park*, Burford, Oxon), Frances (wife, 41, born Sligo, Ireland, home duties), Hester Ivy (daughter, 11y 3m, born Battersea, London, whole time school) and Sarah Violet (daughter, 4y 5m, born Evanton, Ross-shire, whole time school).
      * Barrington Park has an interesting and at times colouful history.

      Percy appeared in the 1930, 1932, 1933, 1935, 1937 - 39 Electoral Registers with several others, including Viscountess Harcourt, at 1 Belgrave Place, Knightsbridge, London. In the 1946 & 1948 Registers he was at 77 Chester Square, Knightsbridge. In the 1964 Register he lived with Sarah V Minter, presumably his daughter, at 68 Stonecot Hill, Sutton, Surrey.
