All the children were born in Tennessee. 1880 United States Federal Census: in District 4, Hardeman County, Tennessee (all MINTER): Martha (50, widowed, farmer, born North Carolina), Eugenia (25, daughter, at home), Thomas (22, son, teacher), Anna (20, daughter, at home), Washington (18, son, at home), Martha (16, daughter, at home), Percival (15, son, at home) and Arthur (12, son, at home).
