Amzi and his wife were both dead by the time of the 1900 census. In addition to the 3 children listed in the 1880 census, Amzi and Laura had four other children, George in Sep 1875, Laura in Jul 1877, Minnie in Jul 1883 and Bird in Jul 1886. These 4 siblings were living together in Abilene at the time of the 1900 census. See George's record for full details. An obvious question is why aren't George and Laura shown in the 1880 census with their parents. I can't find them in any 1880 census.
