Dennis Ray Minter, 78, of Granbury, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 in Granbury. Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Acton Baptist Church. Interment: Acton Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury.
Dennis was born August 16, 1939 in Fort Worth to Charles and Bertha Stanley Minter. He married Joyce Mayfield on June 7, 1963 in Fort Worth. He was an aircraft planner for Lockheed Martin and retired after 30 years of service. Dennis loved the ranch he lived on, his cows, dancing, skiing, visiting and telling stories with his grandchildren. He was a member of Acton Baptist Church, never met a stranger and was a fan of the TCU Horned Frogs.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jana Faye Cavender.
Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Joyce Mayfield Minter; sons, Stanley Minter and wife Terri and Steven Minter and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Seth, Erick, Ben, Jessica, Julia, Brynn, Alea, Alexis and Rylie; sister, Virginia Nell Lee and husband M.B.; brother, Charles “Spud” Minter and wife Debbie; aunts, Shirley Minter and Jessie Minter; numerous nieces and cousins.
