  Notes	After Jane's first husband William Hunsley died in 1861, Jane married again, in 1866. An 1870 US Federal Census record has the following details (listed in the order shown). The record is indexed as FRANKLIN but someone has recognised that it refers to Jane nee BARKER formerly HUNSLEY. All the surnames are shown as FRANKLIN but some are HUNSLEYS, as differentiated below. Jane (52, keeping house, born England) [Jane would have been a widow for the second time by the time of the 1870 census] William (23, farmer, born England) [presumably Barker HUNSLEY] Sarah (15, born Illinois) [HUNSLEY] Charles (12, born Illinois) [HUNSLEY] Rebecca (10, born Illinois) [HUNSLEY] Delia (19, born Illinois) [FRANKLIN] Priscilla (14, born Illinois) [FRANKLIN] William (11, born Illinois) [FRANKLIN] Benj (9, born Illinois) [FRANKLIN] George (5(?), born Illinois) [FRANKLIN] James (45, farmer, born Indiana). [presumably FRANKLIN but his identity is unknown] The U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedules, 1850-1885 (at Ancestry.com) show that Jane FRANKLIN, aged 64, born England, father & mother born England, occupation 'kept house', died of disease of the heart in May 1880, in Buckhart, Christian County, Illinois. findagrave.com's picture of Jane Franklin's tombstone is accompanied by another showing the name Hunsley, thus associating the two names. Jane's exact age at death is shown on the tombstone: it's difficult to read but looks like 62 years, 3 months, 17 days.
