Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 1998, at Rocky Knoll Baptist Church of which she was a member. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. A native of Martinsville, Va., Mrs. East was preceded in death by her husband, Walter East. Survivors are her daughters, Doris East Smith of Stone Mountain, Ga.; Voncile (Vonnie) East Jackson of Pleasant Garden and Barbara East Bridges of Greensboro; son, Walter (Bob) East of Greensboro; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
