Witness on 2 July 1837 at St Mildred, Canterbury. 1841 census: in Rosemary Lane, Canterbury, William (55, maltster), Mary (50), John (15), George (10) and Henry (10). 1851 census: in Rosemary Lane, Canterbury, William (65, painter) and Mary (62) 1861 census: at 3 Rosemary Lane, Canterbury, William (76, journeyman painter) and Mary (71, journeyman painter's wife). Also William's stepson (wrongly described as son-in-law) and his family: John BOUNDS (42, journeyman painter), Agnes E BOUNDS (38, journeyman painter's wife), Agnes E BOUNDS (5, scholar) and Albert V BOUNDS (3, scholar). From Cliff Minter from St Gregory Canterbury Monumental Inscriptions: "In memory of Ann Ford wife of William Ford youngest daughter of the late John Bounds died July 29 1868 aged 42. Also of William Minter who died August 6 1868 aged 83 years. Also of Mary Minter relict of the above died April 15 1873 aged 84 years." 1871 census: the following entry probably relates to William's widow: in Beer Cart Lane, Canterbury, John VINCENT (54, master bricklayer employing two men, born Vallcener [Valencia?], British Subject), Eliza VINCENT (58) and Mary Minter (82, widow, mother-in-law). If the entry does refer, Eliza could have been Mary's daughter from her first marriage.
