  Notes	1841 census: in St Martin, Jersey, Channel Islands (all PENNICK, none born in Jersey), John (45, fisherman), Mary (45), Shepherd (20) and Mary (15). 1851 census: in Ship Street, New Shoreham, Sussex (all PENNICK), John (head, 57, oyster merchant, born Tollesbury, Essex), Mary (wife, 54, born Brightlingsea) and John (son, unmarried, 32, oyster merchant's son, born Brightlingsea). 1861 census: John PINNICK (mariner, 67, born Tollesbury, Essex, master of the 'Alma') was aboard his boat, along with Daniel PEGG (14, boy, born Brightlingsea). John died in 1867. In the 1881 census his widow was with her daughter Mary Anne DRAKE and her husband Joseph DRAKE (qv).
