  Notes	Tamar's name evidently caused some confusion. It appeared as Timor in the baptismal register, Tamer on the 1841 census, as Tama in 1851 and Tamar in 1861. Her marriage in 1862 was registered as Sarah Thamar. In the 1871 census (see husband's Notes) she appears as Sarah. Tamar appears in the 1861 census. Her surname appears to have been written as WINTER. She was a cook, aged 23, born Great Horkesley, in Ipswich Road, Colchester St Botolph. The head of the household was Helen PARTRIDGE, 28, widow, farmer, with 5 children. The groom was Tamar's husband-to-be Isaac CARTER.
