The Henry Martyn Centre, Westminster College, Madingley Road, Cambridge holds archives of the Reverend Richard Arthur Minter (1905-1997), who served as rector of Clairmont *, St Anne's Bay, Jamaica between 1938 and 1945. From 1946 onwards he was rector of Quy near Cambridge but made numerous trips back to the West Indies. * Tinch Minter points out that the correct spelling is Claremont. Ancestry.com.au - UK Incoming Passenger Lists, 1878-1960 has Richard Minter, 40, clerk and Jenifer Minter, 7, scholar of Halstead, Essex arriving at Southampton on 18 October 1945 on the Queen Elizabeth (First Class) from New York. Country of last permanent residence, Jamaica. Like his wife, Richard was buried in St Mary Churchyard, Stow cum Quy, Cambs. His inscription reads: In loving memory of RICHARD ARTHUR MINTER who died 14th March 1997 aged 91 years Priest of this parish 1946-1997 (source findagrave.com, March 2017)
