  Notes	Note: in May 2024 it was suggested that Robert had married a Merle Joyce DEED in 1949. After a lot of research it turned out that Merle did indeed marry a Robert James Parsons in 1949 but he was in fact the son of Mr & Mrs R V Parsons of Camberwell, Victoria. So Merle Joyce had nothing to do with this family. Jim Minter says that Robert and Doris may have had 5 children. Death record shows father Robert Alfred, mother Rose Hannah.
