  Notes	The fact that in 1851 Thomas's widow Ann had living with her as her niece Joseph Holman's daughter Susanna Clark Holman suggests strongly that Thomas Holman and Joseph Holman were brothers. But despite intensive searching I've been unable to establish who their parents were. 1841 census: in Upper Sandgate Road, Folkestone, Kent (both HOLMAN), Thomas (65, independent, not born in Kent) and Ann (40, born in Kent). Thomas died before the next census - see his widow's Notes for her later census information.

  	Thomas a bachelor gentleman of Folkestone. Marriage licence is in Folkestone Library dated 23 Jun 1815. The marriage was announced in the Kentish Gazette on Friday 30 June 1815: "Married: June 23, at Folkestone, Thomas Holman Esq. to Miss Minter, eldest daughter of John Minter esq. of that place." The IGI has the date as 22 June.
