  Notes	From findagrave.com, Mar 2015: Mrs. Betty Jean Sanders, age 64 of Freeport, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, April 6, 2007. Mrs. Sanders was born February 24, 1943, in Vidor, Texas. Mrs. Sanders was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Mrs. Sanders volunteered at O. A. Fleming Elementary School on 4th Street in Freeport for several years, and also worked at the Freeport Hospital, was a dietitian at Woodlake Nursing Home in Clute and later became a receptionist. Mrs. Sanders brought joy and happiness everywhere she went. Mrs. Sanders always had a smile on her face, and was a very strong and devoted person. Mrs. Sanders would take in kids that had no place to go. Mrs. Sanders was a very active member of West End Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Glenn R. Sanders; daughters Theresa Haagensen and husband Pat, Annie Crank and husband Lee, Glenda Brady and husband Matt, Wilda Staley and Junior Morales; grandchildren Mandi and Devin Chitty, Jennifer Dolezal-Haagensen, Sean Tisdale, Jr., Matt Brady, Jr., Trey Crank, Kevin Brady, Richard Haagensen, Chris Brady, Melinda Tisdale, Lisa Sanders, Roger Haagensen, Brittney Sanders, Emalee Crank and Darrell Murrell; great-grandchildren Kyle and Kirk Chitty, Addonniss Haagensen; sisters and brothers Daisy Bennett and husband, Bill, Letha Mae Marsh and husband James, Dock Minter, John Minter and wife, Ann; sister-in-law Glenda Minter; and many other loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Dorothy Minter; and brother Lawrence Minter, Jr. Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Jean Sanders were held at Monday, April 9, at 10:00 a.m. at Stroud Funeral Home. Interment followed in the New Energy Cemetery in Crockett.
