  Notes	August 2013: Arthur's grandson Dave Hill writes by email: "... [Arthur] died in France just before the armistice (20/10/1918) of Brights disease. Granny Trotter (nee Atkins) always said he was a bit of a waster, joining up (he was only in the Labour Corps), leaving her with 5 kids, she had a hard life!" Ancestry.com has details of Arthur's death: born Hersham, Surrey, resident of Slough, Bucks, died on 20 October 1918, a private number 310746 in the Labour Corps. Enlisted at High Wycombe, Bucks, served in the Western Eurpean Theatre, formerly 141262, RASC. 1911 census: in Ann's Cottages, High Street, Chalvey, Slough, Bucks (3 rooms), (all TROTTER), Arthur (head, 30, married, estate painter, born Hersham), Ellen (wife, 37, married 9 years, 5 children all living), Arthur (9), William (5), George (7), Harold (3) and Nellie (10 months). Wife and children all born Walton on Thames.
