  Notes	Occupation: tobacconist. Michael may have spent some time in Holland. A Michael Minter was a resident of Brouwershaven in 1811. His age is given as 53, born about 1758 in Folkestone: he had lived in Holland since 1807. findmypast.co.uk has a document relating to a Will made on 12 December 1837 by Michael Minter of Ostend, tobacconist. It gives the date of Michael's death as 17 June 1838. The Will was attested by two witnesses, Samuel Watts [husband of Michael's daughter Susanna] and Michael's daughter Elizabeth, to whom probate was granted at Doctors Commons on 16 July 1838. The document is not the complete Will and deals only with the bequest to Elizabeth of £200 in 3½% English bonds. Michael was buried at St Nicholas, Deptford, aged 80.
