    Notes 
    • Baptised the son of William and Ann Killick of Crouch House.

      Raymond Killick writes (quoting from Edenbridge by Henry L. Somers-Cocks, M.A. & V.F. Boyson published by Edenbridge Chronicle Office in 1912):
      "Richard Killick came of age on 14 March 1839, he then became Lord of the Manor of Great Browns, holding his first court in 1840."

      1841 census: at Crouch House, Edenbridge, Kent (all KILLICK, all born in Kent except Mary), Richard (23, farmer), Mary (20) and William (1). Also 4 male and 1 female servants.

      1851 census: at Crouch House, Edenbridge, Kent (all KILLICK, all born in Edenbridge, Kent except Mary), Richard (head, 33, farmer of 250 acres employing 9 men), Mary (wife, 30, born Carshalton, Surrey), William Richard (son, 11, scholar), Ellen Mary (daughter, 9), Ann (daughter, 7), Clara Alice (daughter, 5) and Walter (son, 1). Also 2 female house servants). and 1 male farm labourer.

      Both Richard and Mary died before the 1861 census. By that time it appears that their eldest son William had taken over the farm at Crouch House - see his Notes.

      Richard's Will was proved on 14 April 1858 by the oaths of Thomas Holmden of Glynde Bourne near Lewes, Sussex and William Holmden of Delaware, Edenbridge, Richard's uncles. Effects under £3,000.

      July 2017: Raymond Killick emails:
      "Inside St Peter & St Paul's church in Edenbridge are the inside (I believe) burials and memorials of Richard & Mary Killick (nee Searle) and their children."
