  Notes	From findagrave.com, Dec 2014: Rev. Junior Clifton Minter, 85, of Axton went home to be with his Lord, Monday February 10, 2014, at Martinsville Memorial Hospital. He was born in Axton on March 10, 1928, to the late Tommy Joe Minter and Myrtle Bray Minter. He became a member of the Western N.C. Pentecostal Holiness Missions in 1949 and later become ordained as a minister in 1950. Junior and his wife become members of Mt Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church and were also attending Soul Harbor Holiness Church when he was able. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Sage and Irene Powell; and five brothers, Curtis, Grover, G.T., Mitchell and Wayne Minter. Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Wishon Minter of the home; two sons and daugthers-in-law, Wendell Eugene (Linda) Minter and Keith Roderick (Barbara) Minter, all of Axton; one sister, Nancy Inman of Axton; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one aunt, Clara McGhee of Martinsville, numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in Christ. A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Swansonville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mike Hearp, Rev. William "Bill" Preskitt and Rev. Alton Bartee officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 at the church. The family has requested that all donations be made to the Gideons International 716 Battery Drive, Roanoke, Va. 24001 or the Alzheimer's Association, 204 Cleveland Avenue, Southern Area on Aging, Martinsville, Va. 24112.
