Occupation accountant, address Minter, Simpson & Co, Hunter Street, Sydney, NSW, Australia. Enlisted in the 13th Battery Australian Fortress Artillery on 20 October 1915 as a lieutenant. As part of the Australian Imperial Force, his unit, the 5th Field Artillery Brigade Reinforcement 1, embarked from Sydney, NSW on board HMAT A34 'Persic' on 18 November 1915. He was promoted to Captain on 1 September 1917 (his service number, taken from the National Archives of Australia, was Nx102978). He was mentioned in despatches twice and was awarded the Croix de Guerre, the Chevalier de L'Ordre de la Coronne, the Military Cross, the 1914 - 15 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. His war service was in Egypt and on the Western Front. He returned to Australia on 15 May 1919.

The National Archives of Australia give Bruce's Service Number as NX102978 and place of enlistment as Warwick Farm (this appears to relate to WW2 service).

Sydney Morning Herald, 15 February 1936:
"Mr and Mrs. Bruce Minter, of Carinya station, Gundagai, came to town last week to place their daughters, the Misses Sheila and June Minter, at Ascham. Mr. and Mrs Minter will stay at 44 Macleay-street, Potts Point, for a week or two before they return home."

MINTER-REMINGTON.
The marriage was celebrated at St. Philip's Church yesterday afternoon of Miss Doris Catherine, daughter of Mrs J. C. Remington, Plbrac, Warrawee, and Major Bruce Minter,
son of Mr. and Mrs A. R. Minter, Wahroonga. The Rev. Canon Bellingham officiated
The bride's gown was of white satin and tulle, the skirt showing a draped effect The long train of tulle was gathered into a band of silver tissue at the end, and weighted with a trail of silver roses. Silver roses adorned the corselet belt, and a wreath of silver leaves was worn around the back of the head over the bridal veil of white tulle. She carried a sheath of white roses and hyacinths, tied with tulle and satin ribbon, and wore a diamond ring, the gift of the bridegroom.
The bridesmaids, the Misses Katie Wilkinson, Janet Evans, and Joyce Remington, wore frocks of pale pink taffeta, aoorned with hand- made flowers of a deeper shade, and carried posies of shaded pink roses surrounded with autumn leaves and white tulle Their gifts from the bridegroom were pearl and coral brooches Major Ron Osborn was best man, and Captain Tilford Simpson, and Lieutenant Roy Lindeman, groomsmen.
After the ceremony a reception was bold at the Wentworth, where about 200 guests were entertained Mrs. Remington wore a gown ot black Charmeuse, with overdress of white Georgette, embroidered in black and white, and a smart panne hat. The bride's travelling gown was of stone-coloured gabardine, smartly braided, and worn with a black velvet hat and black furs.
