    • Jun 2008: according to Marjorie's daughter-in-law Graciela Bettinalio-Black, Marjorie is 87 years old and well.

      From www.dignitymemorial.com:
      "Marjorie Black (nee Minter), passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8th at the age of 99.

      She was born in England and came to Canada as a war bride in 1945 where she raised two sons as a single mother. Mom worked as a Buyer for Metropolitan Stores (SAAN Stores) with offices in Pointe Claire and retired in 1988.

      She was predeceased by her son Gary Black (Dorothy) and brother Geoff Minter (Ivy).

      She is survived by her son, Don (Graciela), grandsons Carlos and Alex (Megan) and her four great grandchildren as well as her family in England, Susan, Steven, Emma and Ivy. She will be missed as deeply as she was loved.

      A memorial service will be held at a Collins Clarke in Ponte Claire on February 18 at noon."
