William not found after 1851; Elizabeth not found in 1861 or 1871. 1861 census: at 8 Hungerford Market, St Martin in the Fields, London (with Charles WATLING, a pork butcher, and his family), William GORDON (servant, 19, pork butcher, born Birchin Lane, London) and George GORDON (servant, 17, errand boy, born Kentish Town, Middlesex). The following possibly refers to Elizabeth; if so it suggests William died between 1851 and 1881 but death registration not found. 1881 census: Elizabeth GORDON (widow, 67, born Mile End, Middlesex) was a boarder at Grosvenor House, Wellington Road East, Heston, Middlesex, home of William G and Elizabeth WARREN and family, he a police constable.
