  Notes	From the 1911 census entry below it appears that Arthur was the son of Charles and Louise SPIERS, who married in Q1 1910 (the BMD index shows the wife's name as Louisa GRAINGER (Battle 2b/101)). 1911 census: at 24 Corby Street, Sheffield, Yorkshire West Riding (3 rooms) (all SPIERS), Charles (head, 22, labourer at iron founders, born Hastings, Sussex), Louise (wife, 22, married 1 year, 1 child living, born Sheffield, York) and Arthur Charles (10 months, born Bexhill, Sussex). Arthur had siblings: Constance (Q1 1912 Sheffield 9c/1333) Eric G (Q2 1913 Battle 2b/76) Vera L (Q4 1914 Battle 2b/76) Joyce E (Q2 1920 Battle 2b/98) Philip R (Q1 1922 Battle 2b/84) Barbara (Q3 1924 Battle 2b/74) When Arthur's wife Phyllis was buried in 1938 one of the wreaths was from 'Aunt Rose, Dorothy and Iris'. I haven't established who they were.
