  Notes	Death notice said 'formerly of Clovelly'. NSW BMD death record shows parents as Manuel and Annie, which suggests that Leah was originally called Leopuldina de Pina, born in New Zealand in 1894. Her birth appears on the website at https://www.bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz as Leo Puldina dePina, parents Annie and Manuel. Miss L DePina arrived in Sydney on 12 April 1912 having travelled steerage from Auckland on the 'Maheno'. As Leopuldina de Pina, she married William H Brett in 1918. I haven't discovered what became of Mr Brett but having had two children with him, Leopuldina/Leah became Leah Minter. I haven't found a marriage between Leopuldina/Leah and Herbert Minter. Leopuldina's change of name to Leah appears to have happened in 1919 or 1920 - the NSW record of the birth of the first of the Brett children (Jessie) shows mother's name as Leopuldina; that of the second (Tressie) shows it as Leah P. The birth record for the third of Leah's children, Marjorie Leah, shows her father as Herbert Minter. Given that Leah's fourth child, Douglas Herbert, wasn't born until about 1934, his father must also have been Herbert Minter.
