  Notes	findagrave.com, Dec 2015: Eula Zell Minter married Hugh Martin 6 Sep 1916 in Humble, Harris Co.,TX., they had 2 boys. Eula was one of the charter members of First Christian Church, Baytown, Texas. At the time of her husband Hugh's death she was working as a saleswoman at Wilkie's Department Store which sold GE appliciances. By 1952, she was working as a bookkeeper at Fuller's Grocery & Market. After Hugh died in 1947 Eula married the widower Albert Rundolph "Al" Slaughter a retired carpenter that worked for Humble Oil and Refinery. In 1953, Eula & Al were living at 105 East Nazro, Baytown, Texas. She died from Generalized Caronomia (3 months), Cystadenocarcinoma (is a malignant form of a surface epithelial-stromal tumor, a type of ovarian cancer) of Ovary (2 yrs), at the Gulf Coast Hospital, Baytown at the age of 65 years. Taken from the Baytown Sun, Dated Sunday January 26, 1964 SLAUGHTER Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Paul U. Lee Chapel for Mrs. Eula Zell (Minter Martin) Slaughter, 65 of 105 E. Nazro, who died at 8:57 p.m. Friday (January 24, 1967) in a Baytown Hospital. The Rev. Earl Bissex, pastor of First Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Hill of Rest Cemetery. (Beside her 1st husband Hugh Martin, died December 15, 1947). A native of Altair, Texas, Mrs. Slaughter came to Baytown in 1919. She has been active in work at the First Christian Church and was a member of the Social Order of Beauceants Assembly No. 153. She is survived by her husband, A. R. Slaughter of Baytown, two sons, Kenneth R. Martin of Baytown, and Harold D. Martin of Lincoln, Nebraska; a sister, Mrs. Grace Seydler of Baytown, and a brother Howard E. Minter of Baytown. Pallbearers will be M. P. (Pal) Fuller, R. L. Martin Sr., J. D. Rodgers, Clyde Biggers, Sherman Johnson and C. P. Alvery. (Added By WRM)
