Her ages were shown in censuses as follows: 1861 - 35 1871 - 23 1881 - 39 1891 - 48 1901 - 59 1911 - 68 The difference between 1861 and 1871 is particularly difficult to understand. If the later years are anything like accurate Jane must have been born about 1842.
