  Notes	Baptised the son of Edward and Sarah GOLDSMITH. 1841 census: in York Street, Ramsgate, Kent (all GOLDSMITH, born in Kent), Jarman (55, mariner), Frances (45), James (15) and Jarman (15). 1851 census: at 31 York Place, Ramsgate, Kent (all GOLDSMITH), Jarman (head, 64(?), mariner, born Ramsgate), Frances (wife, 57, born Dover) and Jarman (son, 24, born Ramsgate). Jarman died in 1855. At the 1861 census Frances (grandmother, 70, widow, nurse born Dover) was living with her granddaughter Harriett C DOUGHTY. 1861 census: Jarman GOLDSMITH (ordinary seaman, single, 35, born Ramsgate) on Her Majesty's Tender "King George", at anchor on the Sopwell in the River Medway, Kent. Frances probably died in Q4 1863.
