Effects £8979 12s 11d. From Stella Herbert, June 2009: On Dec. 2nd 1895 a Mr. Henry Minter was appointed deputy Mayor of Brightlingsea (from Essex Review). Confirmed in a list of Brightlingsea Deputies provided by James Earley, June 2009. From James Earley, Jun 2009: a record at the SSBR website indicates that Henry owned the 'Golden Fleece', built 1903 at Frindsbury, a 50 ton spritsail registered at Southampton, no. 114572. [I found this record at http://www.merseamuseum.org.uk/mmbarges.php]. From James Earley, Jun 2009: a report from 1913 concerning an oyster stealing case heard at Colchester Borough Police Court mentions "Henry Minter, oyster merchant, treasurer and clerk to the Fishery Board, produced the lease from the corporation to the Board. "
